So matcha so that whilst I wrote this post and perved over the pics I had to stop and make a matcha maca cappa (matcha cappuccino with maca powder) to curb my cravings. I had so much fun with this post (not just because of my own indulgences!) but because it was also an education to see the magnificent proliferation of matcha recipes. I learnt a lot. From Cruffins, (croissant and muffin cross-breed) cronuts, (croissant and donut cross-breed) cakes, cappuccinos, affogatos, matchoats (matcha oats), protein balls, waffles, pizza… Matcha knows no limits.… Continue reading...

Not such blessed beginnings but sunshine surely beckoned, we reassured ourselves, as we squelched our way over to breakfast. Once we arrived at the buffet, however, everything suddenly seemed much brighter. Fresh juices are made every day. There’s always a green juice, beetroot juice, and smoothie of the day as well as deliciously thirst quenching water infused with lemon, lime and mint.… Continue reading...

Pretty perfect muesli

Beyond delicious and nutritious Cereals. They haven’t got the cleanest rep. Often they’re full of healthy promises but in reality, they contain a huge amount of sugar, salt and additives. Take  Dorset Cereals’ Berries and Cherries – if you think it’s a healthy option, you are SO wrong. It contains (amongst other things) 51 per cent dried AND sweetened fruit; raisins, sultanas, flame raisins, sweetened dried cranberries (sugar, cranberries, sunflower oil), sweetened dried blueberries (blueberries, sugar), freeze dried cherries, freeze dried blackcurrants, freeze dried raspberries, blackcurrant flavour barley flakes (barley, sugar, natural flavouring, sunflower oil), blackcurrant flavour barley flakes (barley, sugar, natural flavouring, fruit and vegetable concentrate (blackcurrant, black carrot, sunflower oil)).… Continue reading...
