Take a Hike: Cape Town Mountain Series

March 15, 2017
Processed with VSCO with a5 preset
Cape Town is surrounded by mountains which makes for dreamy (not so) city slicker living. The two most popular hiking trails are Table Mountain and Lion’s Head. Both offer easy and more taxing routes but whichever one you pick – I’m telling you – the views are out of this world! Table mountain will take you longer. I did the toughest most taxing route in just under an hour with some very fit friends. You basically climb massive boulders non-stop. SUCH an epic workout and it sure beats Barry’s Bootcamp or any indoor city workout any day. As for Lion’s Head – there are two routes to choose from when you get further up.… Continue reading...

My Mail on Sunday Feature: 5 Of The Best Wet Weather Tops

October 27, 2015

Pictured goofing around on a cold wet day in Ibiza testing the Nike aeroreact top. It worked wonders. Thankfully, it’s been relatively dry so far this Autumn but knowing England, the rain is sure to set in soon enough! BUT you don’t have to be gloomy about it because these tops (that I had so much fun testing), are just the right kind of bright and beautiful – not to mention functional – clothing you need to stay warm and comfortable. If you missed seeing it on 18th October in The Mail on Sunday have a read here! Happy wet weather training!… Continue reading...

Gleefully, they did (as you’d sensibly assume from the title of this post!) and as we’d hoped, we awoke on Monday morning – feeling very smug to have the day off – to a bright blue sky bursting with sunlight. The whole place came alive – the gardens glistened, the guests giggled and even the birds twittered merrily in celebration of the sun. I always feel at least 50 per cent more alive when the sun’s on my skin.… Continue reading...

Personal Training at FRAME

November 10, 2014
I first discovered the fabulousness of FRAME at the Wellfit Festival in October 2014. I’d never been to the Shoreditch nor Queen’s Park locations – so finally sampling what Frame had to offer was a wonderful awakening! What I experienced at the festival was a 30-minute FRAME fusion – an energetic, dynamic, awesome mix of aerobic dance moves performed to uplifting and motivating music. It was literally the most fun I’d had in ages! Afterwards, I vowed to go and check out FRAME at Queen’s Park, which is less than a mile from my home in Notting Hill, and sample the myriad of classes they have on offer.… Continue reading...
