How to optimise any circumstance: Wisdom from the Buddhists

November 16, 2020
The  challenges of 2020 have been profound and unprecedented.  I know and am extremely grateful for how fortunate I’ve been to remain well and safe with a secure income this year yet, even so, there are times when the uninvited upheaval to every-day normality has taken a toll.  When I fled London nearly two weeks ago to take refuge for lockdown II, I warmly remembered some wisdom from the Buddhists which brought powerful, positive and productive perspective for the weeks ahead. The wisdom comes in the following metaphor. The Buddhists say that any time we suffer misfortune, two arrows fly our way.… Continue reading...

Lonely at the top? You may need to get back to basics

November 5, 2020
Simply put, I coach my clients on the parts of their personal and professional lives in which they want to experience –not just improvements – but real fulfilment and optimisation. Why the gift of a Life Coach is the best present you can get this Christmas

December 3, 2019
We live in a time where the health and wellness industry is worth an astounding $4.2trillion (£3.5trillion), a colossal figure that reflects the scale of our desire to be well. Yet paradoxically and tragically mental health afflictions have never been so high. At any one time, a sixth of the population in England aged 16 to 64 have a mental health problem, according to statistics body NHS Digital. Whether it is family or friends, neighbours or work colleagues, the chances are high that we all know someone who is affected. And bearing in mind this figure leaves out less common conditions, this is only half the story.… Continue reading...
