Bondi Bronze in a Bottle

April 29, 2019
If you’ve been following me on Insta then you’ll know that I’ve been lucky enough to have been travelling for the past month. It was one of the best trips I’ve ever done. I started in Japan staying in Kyoto, Hakone and Tokyo (the posts are on the way) before taking off for Straylia. I can’t wait to fill you in but first thing’s first. I had to look the part before I went anywhere – especially Bondi aka land of the bronzed goddesses. Being of a pale Caspar the friendly ghost complexion I always feel better with a lick of bronze on my body and couldn’t think of a better time to sample the infamous Bondi Sands Gradual Tan.… Continue reading...

The country Spa which charmed me

November 16, 2018
Last week I had the pleasure of visiting Park House Hotel and Spa nestled in the heart of the Sussex countryside surrounded by the spectacular rolling hills of the South Downs. I made the decision to visit because I felt pretty burnt  after burning the candle at both ends. I had a stinking cold and craved the clean air of the countryside and some creature comforts. Being under two hours from London I couldn’t think of anywhere better to rest up and reboot. As I drove deeper into the Sussex countryside I felt instantly charmed and grateful for its breathtaking natural beauty.… Continue reading...

Skin Emergency? Time for some Vitamin C

April 24, 2017
The change of seasons can wreak havoc with your skin. For me, whenever the weather changes my skin becomes dry, dull and devoid of life. So what to do? When it comes to facials – or any skincare lotions and potions, routines and regimes – I’ve always been skeptical. How far do the products really penetrate? And can they really make a difference when your skin is constantly shedding and renewing? Furthermore, in the past I’ve always felt disappointed with the results from the supposedly “miracle/life changing/totally transformative” (etc) facials that also promise to last months… I think the best results my face has ever manifested is a more radiant and hydrated complexion for up to 5 – 7 days after.  … Continue reading...
Fitness & Wellness

June Swoons

June 17, 2015
June is heating up a treat and London is full of sunshine, style and fab fitness offerings. Here’s what I’m currently loving atm… 1. SKC The South Kensington Club is every bit as chic and stylish as it promised it would be – if not more. The space is filled with natural light making it a seriously peaceful place to workout, hangout, eat, sip sun-downers on the terrace and as of next week, enjoy pioneering beauty treatments (hurrah!). That’s not to mention the inspiring Voyager Club events plus opportunities to swim in Stromboli volcano, hike in the Alps and bike in the Tuscan hills.… Continue reading...

Privet Beauty and Grooming Salon Notting Hill

October 23, 2014
Privet; a bush with green leaves that is often used for hedges. When you walk into this warm, rustic and totally charming new luxury beauty and grooming haven in the heart of my Notting Hill hood, you see that its name is the very essence of its ethos.  Privet is a brand new, luxury, top-to-toe body “topiary” service run by a team of beauty professionals, or  “expert gardeners” as they like to comically refer to themselves as, who believe that “personal pruning” should be an enjoyable affair. Well, I’m 100 per cent up for that, I thought excitedly, and decided to pay Privet a visit to see just how enjoyable they could make a little pampering and “pruning”. … Continue reading...

#TBT Hotel de Paris

September 10, 2014
It will be “a hotel that transcends anything so far created” declared François Blanc, the celebrated founder of Group Monte-Carlo SBM which built Hôtel de Paris in 1864 under the auspices of Prince Charles III of Monaco. I paid the legendary hotel a visit in July to learn about its plans for a luxury renovation. The full article will be published on soon, so until then I’ll just say this… Legends are rare and so was my experience at Hotel de Paris.… Continue reading...

Take Me Back to Bali

September 8, 2014
Although my article for Billionaire is yet to be published about my time at three luxury healthy retreats in Bali, I wanted to share some snaps and reminisce a bit. The article will be published soon so watch this space.… Continue reading...

August 28, 2014
I’d heard celebrity award winning make-up artist Patty Bunch testament that some of her Hollywood actors “won’t go on camera without it”  so of course I was keen to cover my face in it too. Oxygenetix is a new foundation, dubbed the world’s most breathable, which launched in Beverley Hills in 2008 to heal and conceal skin after cosmetic surgery and cosmetic procedures such as laser and peels. Its super charged oxygen complex promotes collagen cell production and connective tissue growth in ageing and wounded skin and its anti-bacterial qualities, protects compromised skin while astringently removing dead surface cells. I found the coverage was completely even and lasted like a second skin.… Continue reading...

Make-up Stock up

March 6, 2013
I’ve been in a bit of a fix since last Friday after my make-up bag and all its expensive contents: Mac liquid eye liners, Chanel eye brow pencil, YSL Touche Éclat and blusher, Lancôme mascara, Laura Mercier bronzing palette, eye liner and lipstick, Chantecaille tinted moisturiser (and I don’t even want to think about anything I may have forgotten) got stolen from my gym in Kensington. KENSINGTON of all places! After a few days of futile denial I’ve had to (not) like it and lump it and accept that the above are now in the hands and on the now glowing smug face of some horrid THIEF.… Continue reading...
