Workshop at Bulgari Hotel

January 13, 2015
Just before Christmas The Bulgari hotel welcomed WORKSHOP – the brand spanking  and VERY swanky new fitness destination – to its London residences, and I was one of the exceptionally lucky ones to sample it. Workshop founder Lee Mullins is the former Director of Personal Training at Bodyism, (the famous fitness brand formerly at The Bulgari) and comes with a wealth of experience and expertise (he’s honed the bodies of Victoria Secret models, Oscar winners and CEO’s worldwide). But this alone is not all that makes Workshop so special and snazzy. The gym is the first to offer the FRAMEWORK tool, (exclusive to the UK) which tailors exercise programmes built upon a unique combination of genetic and scientific tests including movement and nutrition genetic analysis, food intolerance tests, metabolic testing, functional movement screen and a body composition assessment.… Continue reading...

The lazy (ish) way to shape up fast

January 6, 2015
Now that the dreaded global ‘diet and detox month’ is in full swing the pressure to sign up to all the numerous fitness/nutritional schemes and regimes is ON. Whilst some of you may love the excitement of this annual challenge, I know January can also make many start to sweat at the mere thought of all the vigorous workouts and holier than thou diets. So if you’re one of these people (and even if you’re not) fear not, you’re by no means alone and I have one very simple solution that I think you’ll love. I give you dear reader, The Library. The Theory Contrary to what you’re probably thinking, The Library I’m referring to is not brimming with books.… Continue reading...

London’s Most Exclusive Gyms

October 7, 2014
The first thing I want to say about this guide I did for Billionaire magazine is that I had SO much fun doing it! I felt like the luckiest lady, hot footing it around London trying only the creme de la creme of London’s gyms and personal trainers. What an experience! What’s clear is that London’s most exclusive gyms are about far more than just first-class fitness. The best of the best are a hybrid of high-performance lifestyle techniques, services and facilities that are only available to a discerning few. And each one is so different and excels in a unique way.… Continue reading...

WellFit Festival; a fab way to spend Saturday

October 6, 2014
It was a wet start to the weekend. I opened my curtains and looked out at a grey, drizzly and rather dismal looking day. Normally, this sight would make me feel a tad dreary but on this occasion I had the exciting prospect of the WellFit Festival, organised by SBC and Frame to look forward to. I actually felt smug that, unlike many Londoners who would be wondering what to do on this wet day, I had an awesome action-packed schedule ahead involving eating lots of delicious healthy food, trying fun workouts and listening to inspiring talks form health and fitness experts – all under one dry warm roof.… Continue reading...

6 Vitamin Shots

April 7, 2014
I’m an active girl and although I believe the best way to replenish energy comes from staying hydrated and eating a well balanced diet, I  have to admit that occasionally,  I need an additional quick and easy pick me up (Friday afternoon being a prime example). I was initially dubious when I was introduced to 6 Vitamin Shots, thinking that they would be yet another sports energy drink, which are full of sugar, ineffective and my personal nemesis. Then I saw that the 6 Vitamin Shots have been developed to banish fatigue and welcome a new way of delivering that much needed energy boost.… Continue reading...

Udo’s Choice

May 11, 2013
This vital source of Omega 3&6 essential fatty acids (EFA’s) is a perfected blend of flax, sesame and sunflower seed oils , as well as oils from evening primrose, rice germ, oat germ and coconut. Udo devoted many years to creating this formulation , a 2:1:1 ratio of Omega 3.6.9, the ideal balance for today’s low fat and Omega 3 deficient diets. Nutritionally superior, fish-free and gluten-free. Organic and vegetarian.   I drizzle Udo’s oil over my salads and also add it to my green juices and smoothies. Remember, it is important that Udo’s Oil is not heated as this destroys the delicate structure of the EFAs, so if you are cooking, make sure you add the oil after and not before/during.… Continue reading...
